The New Yorkers are back with their 5 th album & their unmistakable sound has survived fully intact, albeit with the addition of some welcomed 80's pop, calypso & funk influences thrown into the mix.. full of the typically laid-back vocals of Julian Casablancas alongside trademark tightly knit rhythms & jagged guitar riffs, it continues to demonstrate why they are the leaders of their pack. Finally, The Strokes disembark from modern music and go retro like really retro, pre's retro, pre's retro, you just have to hear it. Call It Fate Call It Karma is just, wow. I really recomend Comedown Machine from a musical perspective. This is by far (musically) the best Strokes album to date/5(). Reply
